Alvin Independent School District operates 16 elementary schools, six middle schools, and four high schools. These 26 schools are attended by approximately 24,800 students who live in Alvin, Iowa Colony, Liverpool, Manvel, Pearland, Rosharon and Santa Fe.
Alvin ISD's 2018 TEA STAAR component scaled score is 80. The STAAR scaled score is calculated by first adding equal weightings of the percentage of assessments on which students’ performance mastered grade level, met grade level, and approached grade level, dividing the sum by 3 and rounding it to the nearest whole percentage. This raw STAAR raw component score is then adjusted or “scaled” by using a conversion table to align accountability letter grades and scores of Texas public school districts and campuses.
The 2018 accountability rating for all Alvin ISD schools is Met Standard, the TEA's highest campus rating. Five Alvin ISD campuses attained TEA STAAR scaled scores between 90 and 100, five campuses' STAAR scores were between 80 and 89, fourteen had scores between 70 and 79 and one Alvin ISD campus had a STAAR scaled score between 60 and 69.

Pomona Elementary School
Pomona Elementary School opened in 2017. According to U.S. News, the student population of Pomona Elementary is 766 and the school serves PK-5. Looking at test scores for Pomona Elementary School, it scored better in math and reading than the district average. Students also scored better in math and reading than the average for the state of Texas.
Rodeo Palms Jr High School
Rodeo Palms Jr High has an enrollment of just over 800 students, and serves grades 6 – 8. Students at Rodeo Palm Jr High scored above average when it comes to making academic progress.

Manvel High School
Manvel High School is one of four high schools in the Alvin ISD zoning, and is ranked #2 of those four schools. Students have the opportunity to take advanced placement coursework and exams. Enrollment at Manvel High School is just over 1,800 students. Manvel High School's football team reached the Texas 5A Division I state championship game in 2017.
